JOSE SALINAS EARNS TMEA AREA TICKET!
Percussion Student Jose Salinas earns 3rd Chair at TMEA All Region Orchestra Contest. Jose
Salinas is a senior in the Tiger Band and has earned advancement into the TMEA Area Contest
Round. Jose competed against numerous students from various schools across the Rio
Grande Valley. All percussion students are required to play 4 musical selections on 4 different
instruments (snare drum, 2 mallet keyboard, 4 mallet marimba, and timpani) and are ranked
1st to last based on their performance. Jose will perform with the All Region Orchestra on
November 9th at McAllen High School.
