TEA A+ RATING!

Valley View Early College Campus earned an overall A rating from the Texas Education
Agency. The campus also earned 6 of 7 TEA distinctions; these distinctions are: Comparative

Closing the Gaps, Post-Secondary Readiness, Academic Achievement in Social Studies,
Academic Achievement in English Language Arts/Reading, Academic Achievement in Science
and Academic Achievement in Social Studies. Congratulations to Valley View Early College
Campus for being one of the top secondary schools in the state of Texas. Through the
combined hard work and commitment of students, parents, campus staff, Central O ce staff,

Board of Trustees and administration, Early College Campus has proven to be one of the top
campuses in Texas and will continue to strive for excellence.

Early College Campus-Texas School to Watch

Early College Campus was selected a Texas School to Watch for 2019. This national
distinction is awarded by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. This forum
is “an alliance of educators, researchers, national associations, and o cers of professional
organizations and foundations committed to promoting the academic performance and
healthy development of young adolescents.” To accomplish its goal of improved academic
and developmental outcomes for all students in the middle grades, the Forum identi es and

disseminates best practices, articulates and promotes effective policies, recognizes and
develops enlightened leadership, and informs and engages the public. Through its Schools to
Watch program, the Forum has developed criteria for identifying high-performing middle-
grades schools, and created tools to help schools use the criteria and expand the program
states across the United States and selected and honored hundreds of successful schools
