BAND EARNS DIVISION I RATING AT PIGSKIN!
The Mighty Tiger Band competed on October 19, 2019 at the 77th Annual Pigskin Jubilee
Contest at Edinburg Stadium earning them a Division One Rating! The Tiger Band earned a
Division I rating from each of the adjudicators evaluating the contest that day. The Tiger
Band’s program for the 2019-2020 season is entitled “Fall from Paradise” and has music from
Symphony X, Coldplay, and Tony Bennet. The Tiger Band began its journey in the hot days of
July and worked hard to achieve its goal. Many hours were spent under the hot sun and unique
Texas weather to prepare for contest. The Tiger Band showcased its performance at various
marching contests throughout the fall, concluding at the Area G Marching in Weslaco on
October 26. The Tiger Band will continue its tradition of excellence as it shifts into Concert
Season and begins preparation for UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest.
