Grandparents

Valley View South Elementary hosted its first big event,
Breakfast with Grandparents, on September 7, 2017. We had
a great turn out with over one hundred fifty seven grandpar-
ents in attendance. Our Counselor, Ms. Cisneros, prepared
two of our very own students to present a poem to the grand-
parents. Grandparents reacted to the poems with smiles and
tears of joy. Grandparents were able to enjoy breakfast and
spend time with their grandchildren. We, at South Elemen-
tary, want all members of the family to know that they play a
very crucial role in our student’s lives.

Parental

Involvement

Valley View South Elementary hosted its first Parental Involve-
ment meeting on September 7, 2017. Meeting was prepared
by our Community Aide, Ms. P. Longoria. Presenters included
Mrs. A. Carrillo, Assistant Principal and Mrs. M. Trejo, Atten-
dance Clerk. The meeting focused on the importance of atten-
dance. Parents were given information about the importance of
bringing their children to school every day and other topics such
as truancy, incentives, and other pertinent information. There
were over thirty four parents in attendance and we invite all oth-
10 er parents to join us for our upcoming events.
