Valley View 5th Grade Campus Fine Arts and Athletics Recruitment Day

Director Manuel Rodriguez spoke to our students about the different opportunities they will have to participate in Theatre Arts,
Mariachi, Band and Jazz Band or Conjunto. Our students enjoyed seeing a scene from the musical The Evil Dead performed by
the Valley View High School Theatre Company. The students were ready to dance when the Mariachi performed a few songs
for them. Our 5th Graders had a lot of fun trying to identify the instruments that the Jazz Band were using. Athletic Director,
Julio Martinez, also spoke to our students about the life lessons that being a part of Athletics instills into a person. Lessons
such as Respect for hard work and others, living by a code such as Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard, and
learning the meaning of fair play through ethics, honesty, and integrity. Our students also got the privilege of hearing from
male and female Athletes about how Athletics has affected their lives.

Valley View 5th Grade Campus Participates at Hidalgo BorderFest

12 ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM FIF Valley View 5th Grade Campus proudly participated at
the Hidalgo BorderFest. Dance Instructor. Daniela Rios
prepared our 5th Grade dance team with traditional Indian
attire and accessories. Our students performed a traditional
dance to the song Prem Ratan Dhan Payo by Artist Palak
Muchhhai. Our 5th Grade Parents proved once again that
they are the best. Our parents bought the traditional Indian
costumes and accessories for our students to be able to
perform at their best. Our 5th Grade Dance Team was such
a hit with the crowd that even Marvel Superhero Deadpool
decided to stop by and dance with our dancers. Through
the hard work of the Dance Instructor, Mrs. Daniela Rios,
the students, parents, and all of the 5th Grade Campus Staff
Volunteers, our Dance Team was the backdrop to many
smiles and picture taken by the crowd.
