Great Things Are Happening At The Support Services

Department
T he Transportation Department fleet is currently adding a new tool/equipment to its fleet

of buses. Professional crew is currently installing a new GPS, radio communication

equipment on our buses to further enhance the safety of our students and drivers. The
new system is in process of being installed and our drivers are being trained to maximize the
equipments in use. With this equipment our drivers and staff will
be able to track our buses in real-time during their travel routes

from school to home and back. The new system will also provide
real time child location if and when they board the bus. This is
done due to its unique identification of all students enrolled. In

addition to those new features the buses will be equipped with wifi
signals for students and staff use on the bus and around the bus.
This last feature allows the district to provide a mobile hotspot at
those locations or areas where home wifi may not be available.

During school closures or weather events. The project is new
completion pending driver and staff training. We will keep every-
one informed of its completion and implementation.
