FCCLA: Construction Leaders
The FCCLA Tiger Chapter participated at the Family,
Career and Community Leaders of America Region V
Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, TX. The Tiger
Chapter received the 5A Division Attendance Award,
Family and Consumer Sciences Assessment Master
Award for having the most participation in FCSAs
and student Francheska Longo received the FCCLA
Red Jacket Award! In addition, students participated
in FCSA-Family and Consumer Sciences Assessments
and STAR-Students Taking Action with Recognition
Events.
FCCLA Tiger chapter will be attending the FCCLA State
Leadership Conference fromApril 3 to 6, 2019 and
will compete in FCSA (Family and Consumer Sciences
Assessments) and STAR Events:

The Valley View High School Robotics Club, Tiger
Tech, competed at the 2019 Alamo First Robotics
Competition (FRC) District Event at John Jay High
School in San Antonio, Texas. This is an event
where teams from all across the nation design,
build, and program robots to complete certain
task within certain constraints. Valley View’s
robotics club has been competing in this event
since 2009 however, for the first time, after 15
grueling qualification rounds, Tiger Tech qualified
for final rounds as part of the top 8 alliances. Not
only did the team qualify for final rounds for the
6 first time, but they advanced to semifinals as part
of the top 4 alliances at the event in a pool of 42
teams. Congratulations Tiger Tech!
