Veterans Day Breakfast

On November 10, 2017 Early College Campus hosted a Veterans Day Breakfast at the library to honor all VVISD Staff who
have served our country. In total, the district has 11 staff members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the rest of
us safe and out of harm’s way. Crystal Franz, Rogelio Ortegon, Juan Sanchez, Isaias Vidal, Guadalupe Trejo, Marcos Lozano,

ECC Librarian, Jaime Perez reads chapter one
of his award-winning novel for Mr. Herrera’s
World Geography classes during a “Reading
with the Author” session. Students contin-
ue reading the novel as a class and, upon
finishing it, will take part in a post-reading, SUCCESS, NOTHING LESS 5
question-answer session with Mr. Perez be-
fore eventually AR testing on the novel. This
proved to be a very engaging and interactive
experience for both Mr. Perez and, most im-
portantly, the students.
